Not a question. Now that Summer has surpassed Spring who doesn’t love driving along Fountain to ogle the shirtless joggers any day of the week? A favorite pastime of mine fuels my desire to travel to the best beach in SoCal: West Street Beach in Laguna Beach.
Drag your jaded brain of yours out of bed, pack a light overnight bag (just in case) and head south. Best route- East on the 10> south on the 110> South on the 405> south on the 73 toll road> exit at Jamboree (no toll)> west to PCH> and south to the be-otch.

Hands down one of the most beautiful and easily accessible beaches in the land. Bring a beach umbrella as you will want some shade in the late afternoon. Sunscreen, sheet, towels. Stop at the Albertson’s before Alisio Creek and grab some sandwiches, chips, water and fruit.
Once the Golden Hour sunset lighting wanes away, grab an icy cold coca-cola, a warm shower and a generous slathering of Banana Boat’s After Sun Moisturizer is necessary. By all means do not forget to stop by the Laguna Surf and Sport for the best T-shirts and board shorts.
With a shopping bag full of awesome garb and a renewed charge of life there are two paths: best case scenario, you’ve met some one and/or many, or you are staying with some friends because it’s too fun to go home OR home is only an hour away. No talking on the phone or texting while driving.
